One of the North’s most influential business leaders has backed The People’s Project.

Frank McKenna, Founder, Group Chairman and Chief Executive of Downtown in Business has backed Everton’s plans for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock and a community-led legacy at Goodison Park.

Downtown in Business is recognised as one of the most influential business organisations in the North of England and West Midlands.

With the company being founded in Liverpool in 2003, Frank took time out of his day to visit The People’s Project roadshow as it arrived in the city’s business quarter in Castle Street.

After seeing the latest plans and giving the VR tour a try Frank was particularly impressed with the business opportunities the project could bring to north Liverpool, saying; “many of the peripheral communities, including North Liverpool, have been left behind so what this project does and what the stadium development gives us an opportunity to do is to act as a catalyst to create jobs and to create business opportunities not simply directly around the stadium, but further afield too. There is potential for business opportunities, from hotels to commercial grade A office space… not to mention the infrastructure investments that will be made.”
